  1. As this is a sample key, you can tap Yes or No option on your mobile screen. Now come back to your computer browser. On the computer screen, you will be prompted whether you wish to use the Account Key feature or not.
  2. To enable the Account Key, you will need to click on the Always use Yahoo Account Key After that, you will need to enter your phone number in the prompted field and click on the Confirm button. Yahoo Account key will be enabled for your Yahoo Mail account.

NOTE: As phone number is required to enable Yahoo Account Key, make sure to provide an updated one.

How to Disable Yahoo Account Key?

If you ever wish to disable Yahoo Account Key feature for your Yahoo Mail account, you can do so easily by following these steps:

  1. In your Yahoo Mail account, click on your Profile Picture/Name located near the top-right corner of the window.

  • Make sure that notifications are enabled in the Yahoo Mail application on your phone.

  • If you are seeing an “Uh-oh” error message, you will need to wait for 24 hours before you can try to access your account.
